St. John Prom

The Annual All Island Holiday Party will take place in Mongoose Junction on Saturday, December 17 from 9:00 pm. The event is hosted by The Sun Dog Cafe and the Mongoose Merchants Association.

The All Island Holiday Party, “The Prom,” has its roots in trying to rebuild the community after Hurricane Marilyn in 1995, and through the years has become a social highlight for many full-time St. Johnians and a homecoming for many seasonal residents. It’s an opportunity to dress up and celebrate the holidays in the gracious courtyards of Mongoose Junction amid holiday cheer and festive decorations. The party celebrates diversity and unity as it brings together St. Johnians of all distinctions, and the events of this year have helped remind many of us of the blessing we have, as St. Johnians, and of the special qualities of our community. A special invitation is extended to the many hard working individuals who are a part of our community this holiday season, away from their families to help us in our efforts to rebuild.

Prom King and Prom Queen will be elected by the committee– be sure to visit the St. John Photo Booth and get your picture taken.

Music will be performed by in the center courtyard from 9 pm to 1 am. Cash bars will be available. Adults only, please. Island Fancy Attire, please.
