Local Restaurant Proudly Serves the Same Fish Tacos That Made 14 Tourists Sick Last Week

St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands – In a bold move, a local restaurant is taking pride in serving the same fish tacos that made 14 tourists sick last week.

“We’ve always had a policy of waste not, want not,” said the restaurant’s owner, John. “When we saw that we had some leftover fish from last week, we knew we couldn’t let it go to waste. So we just fried it up and put it in our famous fish tacos.”

Despite complaints from the tourists who got sick, the restaurant is standing by its decision.

“We think our customers deserve the best, and by that we mean the freshest fish,” said John. “We’re not going to let a little food poisoning get in the way of that.”

The restaurant’s new marketing campaign, “Experience the Thrill of the Unknown,” promises customers a unique culinary adventure that they won’t soon forget.

“We like to keep things exciting,” said John. “You never know what you’re going to get when you come to our restaurant. It could be fresh fish, it could be leftovers from last week. That’s the thrill of it.”

Despite the controversy, the restaurant has seen an increase in business since the announcement.

“We’re thrilled that people are responding to our new campaign,” said John. “It just goes to show that the people of the US Virgin Islands are adventurous eaters who aren’t afraid to take risks.”

As for the tourists who got sick, the restaurant has offered them a free meal as an apology.

“We know that they probably won’t come back,” said John. “But we’re hoping that they’ll tell their friends about us. There’s no such thing as bad publicity, right?”
