Woman Struggles to Maintain Perfect Instagram Aesthetic as WAPA Power Outages Plague the Island

St. John, U.S. Virgin Islands – With beautiful beaches and stunning sunsets, St. John has become a mecca for influencers hoping to capture the perfect Instagram shot. However, one woman is struggling to maintain her aesthetic as frequent power outages plague the island.

Local resident, Ivana Bloyou, 24, has amassed a following of over 50,000 followers on Instagram by posting perfectly curated photos of herself frolicking on the beach and sipping umbrella drinks. But the recent power outages have thrown a wrench in her plans.

“It’s just so frustrating,” Ivana exclaimed, “I spend hours picking out the perfect outfit and scouting out the best locations, only to have the power go out right when I’m about to take the shot. It’s ruining my feed!”

Many locals on the island are struggling with the outages as they impact everyday life, but Ivana’s plight has sparked a wave of backlash on social media. Critics have accused her of being tone-deaf and selfish for prioritizing her Instagram aesthetic over the well-being of the community.

“I just don’t understand why people can’t see how hard this is for me,” Ivana responded to the criticism. “I’m not trying to be selfish, but Instagram is my job. I have to maintain my brand.”

WAPA has issued a statement condemning Ivana’s behavior and reminding visitors to be mindful of the impact they have on the community.

“We understand that social media is an important part of modern life, but we urge visitors to remember that St. John is more than just a backdrop for their Instagram photos. We ask that everyone be respectful of our community and the challenges we are facing.”

As for Ivana, she says she’s looking into purchasing a generator to ensure she never misses the perfect shot again.
